Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited when you use the IT-Charlotte website, contact forms, pricing quiz, scheduling links, email channels, and related lead-capture systems (collectively, the "Site"). This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you agree to comply with this AUP.

This AUP governs use of the Site only. Use of services delivered under a signed Managed Services Agreement (MSA) is governed by that agreement and any client-facing AUP attached to it.

2. No Illegal or Harmful Activity

You may not use the Site, or any service or system connected to it, for any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful, including:

  • Fraud, identity theft, or impersonation of any person or organization;
  • Harassment, threats, stalking, or abuse;
  • Distribution of malware, spyware, ransomware, exploit code, or other malicious software;
  • Phishing, credential theft, or social-engineering attempts;
  • Unsolicited commercial messages (spam) of any kind;
  • Infringement of intellectual property rights, or violations of privacy or publicity rights;
  • Activity that violates export controls, sanctions, or any applicable law or regulation.

3. No Infrastructure Abuse

You may not interfere with the Site or its supporting infrastructure. Prohibited activity includes:

  • Automated scraping, crawling, harvesting, or mass-downloading without our prior written permission;
  • Submitting forms in volumes inconsistent with normal human use, including form flooding or contact-form abuse;
  • Probing, scanning, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, or "red team" activity without our prior written permission;
  • Attempting to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, CAPTCHAs, logging, or other security or abuse-prevention controls;
  • Uploading or transmitting files containing malicious code, exploit payloads, or content designed to disrupt operation;
  • Conducting denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service activity, traffic amplification, or resource-exhaustion attacks.

4. No API or Webhook Abuse

You may not misuse our API endpoints, webhooks, or other programmatic interfaces. Prohibited activity includes:

  • Replaying, forging, or manipulating request signatures, idempotency keys, or other integrity controls;
  • Submitting payloads designed to exploit parsing, validation, or state-machine logic;
  • Attempting to enumerate accounts, leads, estimate intents, or other internal records;
  • Using credentials, tokens, or session data that you are not authorized to use.

5. No Reverse Engineering

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, clone, scrape, or attempt to derive the source code, structure, internal workflows, business logic, or non-public operation of the Site, the pricing quiz, lead-capture pipelines, or any related system, except where this restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law. You may not remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Site.

6. No Misrepresentation

You may not submit false, misleading, or deliberately inaccurate information through Site forms, the pricing quiz, scheduling links, or email channels. You may not impersonate another person, business, or representative, and you may not misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.

7. Enforcement

We may take any action we reasonably consider appropriate to address violations or suspected violations of this AUP, including:

  • Blocking, throttling, or rate-limiting traffic;
  • Refusing or removing submissions;
  • Suspending or terminating access to the Site;
  • Preserving and reviewing logs and other records;
  • Reporting activity to law enforcement, vendors, or affected third parties;
  • Pursuing civil remedies, including injunctive relief and recovery of damages and attorneys' fees, where permitted by law.

We may take action with or without notice. Failure to enforce this AUP in any particular case is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

8. Reporting Abuse and Security Concerns

If you observe activity that you believe violates this AUP, or if you have identified a security concern with the Site, please contact us:

When reporting, please include enough detail for us to investigate, such as:

  • Relevant URLs or endpoints;
  • Timestamps with timezone;
  • Source IP addresses, if available;
  • A clear description of the activity and any reproduction steps;
  • Your contact information, if you are willing to be contacted for follow-up.

We appreciate good-faith reports and will investigate them promptly. We do not pursue researchers who report security issues in good faith and in accordance with this AUP.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after the updated AUP is posted means you accept the updated AUP.
